Optimizing the System for Translators 2

A Happy Translator is a Productive Translator

A Happy Translator is a Productive Translator

At ICanLocalize, we are constantly improving and simplifying our system for both clients and translators.

Although this is an ongoing process, we detail another two of our latest implementations to simplify our translators’ experience in this post.

Review Tabs

Translators now have review tabs where they can see all the review jobs that they are assigned to. This is particularly helpful because previously translation jobs and review jobs were listed together rather than in separate sections. Translators can now access their review projects much faster.

Easy Access to Website Documents with the New URL Search Option

Previously translators who localized many documents for a client could not find these documents easily. We have now added a search function that allows translators and clients to enter the URL link of the page in the relevant website and get the ID of the job.

Now the translator and client can enter the URL of a web page and get a list of CMS documents that are related to it.

Translators can now Perform Searches on URL's for Website Projects

The image above shows you how it works:

By clicking on the search and then Website jobs, you will be taken to a screen where you can do the searches.  You can pick whether you want to search by the title, by the original URL of a job, or by the translated URL.

After clicking the search button, you will be shown a list of the entries that matches the query. The fields that appear are the same as when browsing the CMS manually but in addition it also has the name of the translator.

More improvements are still to be added and we are currently working on our list of new features for 2013!
