Going global with Brown Cow Media

Daryl Brown is an online media consultant who manages projects for various clients. One of ICanLocalize supporters interviewed him and he shared his experience with us. He has used ICanLocalize to translate one of his clients’ site, 88 Construction: “I love the system. Compared to adding strings manually, it’s amazing.”

About 88Construction

88 Construction has been an active participant in the Sydney building industry since its formation in the Year 2000. Following a strategic growth plan set by founder John Yuan, it has steadily evolved from constructing high-end stand-alone homes, to medium-density and high-rise residential development. Through the company’s network of reputable suppliers, 88 Construction is able to source materials from China to the benefit of its Australian customers. With this need to interact with the Chinese market, the whole site was translated into Chinese (simplified) WPML is really efficient with WP,” says Daryl. He also let us know that his “client is happy with the result and is planning to send more content to translate.”

WPML and ICanLocalize, an enrichening experience

When asked about the plugin functionality, he told us that: “some strings were customized (not WP platform) so I had to copy and paste them into the plugin, but that was ok”, the system simplified the process all throughout the project. He used the option translator and reviewer: “I’m satisfied with the translation; I expect to use your system again in the future.”

All in all, the WPML/ICanLocalize complemented service proved to be of great help for Daryl, having found a solution to an otherwise cumbersome task: gone are the times when building a multilingual site was made manually. Offering his clients the possibility of going global has now become a breeze.
